Shea Butter: Shea Butter works like an emollient. It might helps soften or smooth dry skin. Shea butter also contains substances that can reduce skin swelling. α-amyrin and lupeol, the triterpenes found in the unsaponifiable fraction of Shea butter, were found to contribute to the inactivation of proteases such as metalloprotease which leads to collagen production.
Vetiver: It is rich in Tikta & Madhur Rasa, that is Bitter & sweet taste which makes it cooling and tridoshik in proprerty. It is used in Ayurveda to promote skin care and enhance the beauty of the skin (varṇya) due to its Pitta pacifying property. It draws away excess heat and sebum, treats acne, irritation, redness & sunburns.
